My lofty goals for 37 – and a half-naked Indian.

Aug 14, 2012 · by Sean

Every year on my birthday, I usually reflect on the things I’ve done over the past year. This year, I’ve decided to look forward. What will this next year bring? I have dreams and hopes and things that make me a bit nauseous to think about actually accomplishing. Here’s what I’m looking forward to for my 37th year:

  1. Be kind to me and love myself vs. being my worst enemy.
  2. Celebrating my successes rather than hide behind them in embarrassment.
  3. Relishing every moment of Ava’s kindergarten year.
  4. Being a better wife.
  5. Creating more. I used to paint and sew and I love to make jewelry.
  6. Getting that damn children’s book published.
  7. Stop wasting precious time with frivolous things.
  8. Rekindling a friendship.
  9. Being really good at something.
  10. Finding my passion and making it profitable.

Not too, lofty, right? Do you reflect or look forward each year on your birthday?

This is what I did for my birthday. I don't remember taking this picture. And I might have Photoshopped about 15 lbs off my ass.

And I’m definitely not complaining! You see, CW pretty much rules all of gift-giving. Our typical August trip includes Vegas. We got married there back in ’97 and since then we have been back 1-2 times each year. Last year, this happened: […]
